Happy Friday!
Great news!
This week you have a shot at a 2016 bottle of Pappy Van Winkle’s Family Reserve 23 Year Old. The opening bid has not been set yet, but I anticipate the bidding will start at around $1800 to $1900. Most bottles on the secondary market run about $2500 so this is a nice opportunity if you are looking to add this “unicorn” to your bourbon collection.
I will shoot you an email on Monday or Tuesday and the auction will likely take place on Thursday or over the weekend.
By the way, do you prefer multi-day bidding or would you rather just focus on a 3 to 4 hour time slot? Just send an email to chris@pursuitofpappy.com and let me know. The majority gets to set the timeframe so please get in touch.
Also, feel free to send any other ideas on how we can make the Pappy Club even more valuable for you.
Now take a few minutes to read our 4 Shots, you’ll discover some cool Pappy Events, as well as a couple of incredible (in some cases, under-the-radar) bourbons to stock up on NOW — before the rest of the bourbon chasers, start hunting them.
